7 Questions!! #6

7 Question Thursday, yay!

Here's our funny photo - taken on Sarah's brand spankin' new Samsung Galaxy SIII (aka The Mighty White) - tonight at The Roadhouse in Covent Garden!

Italy had just scored, and lost us 60 GBP. Sadface.
1. If you could be any princess- which would you be and why?

L: I would be Princess Fiona from Shrek, hands down. She is feisty, difficult, and has a bit of a weight problem (ogre) but is beautiful and loveable anyway? I like to think that's me on the dot! And there is no waiting around in castles or comas to deal with!

S: Belle - because she set herself apart from the rest of the princesses by being smart (haha), reading and dreaming of a better life. I love a good book! And also, she was Laura's favourite growing up - it's perfect!

This is Sarah in a nutshell!

2. Do you have any odd habits? (do things in order, words that you say too often, etc)

L: I am quite particular about lots of random things. I choose today to tell you about my Facebook habits. I have an order that cannot be broken! When I sign in, I look at any messages I have first. Then, I go through my entire newsfeed until I get to where I last saw it, THEN I check my notifications, and I have to open them each in a new tab so I don't lose my place on my main screen. In notifications, I go bottom up, but comments first, then photos. And if Sarah goes 'OMG have you seen...' before I'm finished with my routine, I get annoyed! It's silly, but so satisfying. Also I say 'Okeedoke' a LOT and each time, I think I sound reaaaally American, but still can't stop!

S: I'm a rhymer. I'm good with the rhymes. It can be a gift, don't get me wrong, but some people may have said it is a tad annoying. I rhyme when I'm happy, rhyme when I'm sad, I rhyme when I'm doing dishes and I rhyme when I'm just plain mad. I just rhyme all the time!

3. What's your "go to" outfit?

L: Without fail it's my black dress with white spots (fun fact, I currently have 3 dresses that fit this description), black leggings, flats and cardigan. I wear it when I want to be guaranteed comfortable but still work appropriate and pretty. Also, Sarah has the same dress! But we've yet to wear it on the same day haha.

S: Leggings and my royal blue dress - I can put a blazer on it for work, cardigan for a day out, it is versatile and I can support Reading FC at the same time! With my grey ankle boots - love them!

4. Do you have any siblings? What are their genders, ages, order of age, names, etc?

L: I have one awesome little brother, Jason, who is 21 now. He's without fail the coolest person I've ever met.
Me and Jas in our ugly Christmas sweaters around the last time I saw him (Christmas 2010) - geez I can't wait to go home!
S: I have one younger sister, Fiona, who is... 25? I think 25. She is older than Laura were very different when we were younger and didn't really get along, but we are now closer than we ever have been.

5. What's your favorite precious stone?

L: Don't they say diamonds are something... yes, my best friend! I think this is only because I really want an engagement ring *hint, hint*

S: Amethyst - I love purple, it is my favourite colour. It is the stone Laura put on my bracelet for our 3 year anniversary!

6. If you had a check in your hand for 1 million dollars, what would you do with it?

Joint answer for this one! We would give $100,000 each to our old work colleagues Mark and Danish to spreadbet in the stock market for us (Mark is now living in Spain and considering a holiday home in Thailand on his trading money!), buy a property in central London and rent it out, then once we started making money we would immediately quit our jobs and spend 24 hours together again. People said this working apart business might be good for us, it is not! We hate it! We might buy an ice cream truck and do that in the summer, and spend our winters skiing and drinking hot chocolate together. And invest in a pension, and kids/wedding fund. Bam, we have thought about that way too much.

7. What do you love most about yourself- physically (eyes, smile, hair, etc. I don't know a good way to word that question...)

L: My boobs! I'm just really glad they are... the way they are. And also my smile/teeth! And my nose haha, its squishy and small. This is an awkward answer.

S: My butt! I am lacking a bit in the boob department, but it turns out that people really do like big butts! Or at least larger than average white girl butts. Laura loves it, anyway! And my eyes, because they are so big and my eyelashes are naturally long!
What are your answers to the above?

Love always,
Laura & Sarah xo

7 Question Thursday!! #5

FINALLY, 7 Questions is back!!

We are sure you have missed them as much as we have!

Here's our funny photo:

Enjoying the great British summer!!

1. What do you do when you're sick? (Do you act like a baby? Tough it out? Have any weird cravings? Cry?)

L: I am a really awkward sick person, because I forget to help myself get better. I will go on sniffling or feeling awful for days, and Sarah has to practically force feed me pills - and heaven forbid if she tries to make me go to the doctors! I'd much rather barely survive for weeks on end until it goes away. Thank goodness I've got logical Sarah around or I'd never recover!

S: I grew up as a hypochondriac so I like to make sure I catch any illness early but if I fail in my bid to prevent getting sick then I tend to crave sympathy and being looked after. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, I've been told. L's nursing skills have improved since we've been together but that might not necessarily be by choice :)

2. What do you do to find motivation when you feel you've lost it?

L: I'm so easily distracted, you'd think I'd have the answer to this on hand... the only thing I can say is if I am thinking about something more fun than what I'm doing, I won't be able to get back to doing what I'm supposed to be doing until I've done it/written it down/spoken to someone about it. I'll be filling out spreadsheets and all of a sudden have to write a list of all the places I want to visit before I have a baby - then I go back to doing work with much more vigor than I did before!

S: Hmm this is hard, I am generally quite motivated and I hate running out of time so I like to get stuff done and out of the way. Since being with L I can honestly say I've never been more motivated - with her planning ability there is always something to save towards and there is no bigger motivation than wanting to make L happy.

3. Do you wish time away or do you savor every moment?

L: I am a BIG wisher away - though I need to clarify, I love my moments, that's why our blog is called Sprezzatura, after all - it's the everyday moments in life which count! But I'm a planner. Want to know all the major things (holidays, wedding, baby, etc) that will happen to us over the next 4 years? This girl has it planned, down to holiday allowance at jobs. Maybe it's a little odd, but I plan in order to make sure I don't have to miss any moments. I will never look back and say 'oh I wish I had done that when I was younger, but time got away from me' because I plan things and then execute them! That's one of the reasons that Sarah is absolutely perfect for me - she keeps me in the moment, and wants to experience everything we can, together!

S: I'm definitely a 'savour every moment' - L tells everyone that her biggest pet peeve is me bouncing out of bed early on Saturdays but I get so excited to have 2 full days with her that I want to maximise every moment. Imagine me on holiday :) The biggest challenge for me living in London is that there is ALWAYS so much going on that we can never do everything, though L's planning means we do a lot. But dragging me away from things is never easy.

4. If you could be any mythological creature, what would you be, and why?

L: I'd be a mermaid, but only if I was one who liked other mer-maiden A merbian. Because there is nothing remotely attractive about mer-men. Otherwise, I'd like to be the Wheedle on the Needle in Seattle. Does he count?

(via tumblr.com)
S: I have literally no clue....any suggestions?

5. What is your current biggest weakness and are you working on fixing it?

L: My biggest weakness...besides cookie dough haha... is my lack of follow through when it comes to really wanting to lose weight/get fit. I say I want to, I start to do more exercise and diet... and next thing you know I'm finding every reason under the sun not to. I'm trying... but honestly, at the moment I'm just enjoying my life and trying to take things in moderation.

SPanicking over things that are out of my control - credit card bills, unexpected water bills, not having savings, geez I'm panicking just thinking about them. With most things in life I am capable of compartmentalising things and not letting something that's worrying me overshadow something else but I like to have that control. When I don't then PANIC!!! The good news is L loves making spreadsheets that track & predict our spending so it's getting less stressful.

6. How do you greet someone when meeting them for the first time?

L: OMG I'm so awkward when it comes to this in non-work situations. I'm naturally outwardly friendlier than most people here in London (small town Idaho meets big city stiff-upper-lip kingdom), but from living here for 4 years now and finding out that not everyone likes to be hugged right off the bat, I do this awkward thing where I have to acknowledge that I want to hug them - 'Oh hi, I'm Laura' then I lean forward to start a hug, I see the look on their face like WTF is she doing? So I have to say 'Oh yeah, I'm gonna hug you' or something, as if acknowledging it makes it less awkward, but we both know it doesn't. Then after it's over, internally I kick myself for being so uncomfortable, but I know that I can't just NOT hug people - you need to break the touch barrier to become friends!! Apparently I'm a complicated person.

S: This really depends on the situation - inside work a good, firm handshake is my choice but as for friends, or friends of friends I am AWKWARD. I really don't like meeting new people- I build up a situation and then when I meet someone I clam up and do this half wave while L's hugging up a storm :) However if someone else opens up for a hug then I gratefully accept it and will hug them back - maybe i've been Americanised.

Hahaha we are an awkward couple!

7. How do you grocery shop? (Do you write up a list? Go in with no idea what you're looking for? Have meal plans? Bring your own shopping bags?)

L: Prepare to be amazed, friends, because this is a well-oiled machine. We go food shopping every Friday night (because we are PAR-TAY people!) - we bring a list, and in each section we split to each get things to bring back to the cart - its clearly the most efficient way to do things. We have some staples we get every week and don't write down, but we only occasionally deviate from our list (much less than we used to, because though Sarah hates resisting a good deal, she has learned to handle it better haha). Then, when it comes to checkout, I'm the money, and I'm not allowed to put the groceries on the conveyor belt, because Sarah has an order she puts things in (frozens together, fridge, veggies/fruits, carbs, etc) and I always accidentally screw it up. I also can't put the bags into the car, because the heavy things need to go in a certain place so they won't squash the lighters things... it's an impressive sight to behold and pretty damn adorable, even though I secretly think that it'd be much easier to just go with the flow. Does anyone else sort their groceries before bagging them or worry about things moving around in the car??

S: What can I add - L has explained this situation in full - and yes EVERYONE is concerned about how their groceries are bagged - who wants fruit in with toiletries or frozen in with bread!

Love always,
Laura & Sarah xo

7 Question Thursday!! #3

Welcome to your favourite time of the week - a new episode of Glee 7 Questions Thursday with Gentri Lee!!

Here's our funny photo:

This was at Megan (from Wegan)'s birthday party this past weekend (check back tomorrow for more about that!!) - Megan spilled champagne on Sarah's top, and Laura was merely trying to help. Nothing dodgy, we promise.

1. You just invented the next big thing! What is it called and what does it do?

S: Transport that travels at the speed of light – or really, really fast and cheap! I would love this world to be smaller so I can get to people I love quicker! It would be called ‘Swift Time Voyager’!

L: Ummmm... damn, I wish I knew this was coming. I always think of amazingly ridiculous inventions, but can never remember them!! I'm the same with jokes. Terrible joke teller. Laura, stop avoiding the question! Bras with pockets for all the things I keep inside them? That is totes not TMI, you know you do that too. It's a lame invention, though, pockets would probably just limit the loot I keep in there. Keys, phone, ipod, change, bills, ID, occasionally wrapped chocolate eclairs (the candy kind, not the pastry kind), the list goes on and on. Great, now you all thing I'm odd.

DEFLECT!

Want to hear a joke? - What's the hardest thing about rollerblading?

Telling your parents you're gay. *badum dum!*

Think of this joke next time you see someone rollerblading. ('Ohhhhh, it's so true!!!')

Ok, moving on...

2. Are you a lover or a fighter?

S: In general I’m a fighter – I am fiercely loyal and will defend anyone I love. Equally when I have an opinion that someone disagrees with for no reason I will fight to make them see mine. I am logical and hate illogical arguments so things like marriage equality and people hating people because they are ‘different’ really gets to me. Having said that I am growing more placid and becoming more of a lover as I get older – well everybody needs more love in their life
She's a fighter... and he's her father.
L: Can I be both? I'm stubborn, hot headed and argumentative, so definitely a fighter, which makes for interesting arguments between Sarah and me!! But I'm also very emotionally driven, idealistic, empathetic, and I love the family and friends I have more than anything. I think life is about having people around you who love you and whom you love (you know, and travelling). So, I'm a very conflicted person haha!

3. It's almost mothers day- if you could tell your mom anything, what would it be?

S: Thank you for making me who I am – we may have different views on things but deep down you taught me to be independent, strong and capable and I thank you for that. We always get on so well when we are together if you could learn to accept Laura, we would love to spend more time with you!

L: Happy Mother's Day!! Since moving to London (and growing up a bit) I've learned that I have it so good with you and Dad. You are endlessly supportive, helpful, loving, and so much more. I wish more Mums were like you in this world - there would definitely be a lot more love in the world. You really define 'unconditional love' - with me and my brother - and I hope that someday I can be just as wonderful a mother as you have been to me.
Like Mother, like daughter!! :)
4. Do you like your hair curly, wavy, or straight?

S: My hair has been the bane (no pun intended) of my life – I used to have it short and blonde (thankfully there are only limited photos in existence) but that came from never being allowed to dye my hair when I was swimming. I have been growing it out since and I have thankfully got it to a length where it has a nice wavy-ness to it. When it was shorter I used to have to straighten it so it would stick out!

L: My hair was stick straight when I was younger, lank and unable to hold curl - then I made the bold and questionable choice to get a perm in 8th grade. I know, what was I thinking? But when it relaxed, I found I ended up with the best of both worlds - now, my hair is straight, but holds curl/wave rather well. I love it wavy/with big curls the most. Thank you silly teenage hairdo!

5. If it was your last day to live, what would you do?

S: OMG this is hard – I would want to spend every second of it attached to L and we would either lay in bed and go through photos of all our amazing adventures OR I would get everyone who has made me smile in life – family, friends (old and new) to one place and have a big reminiscing session. Not that I like to look back but my life (especially since meeting L and certainly recently) has been AMAZING and every day, and especially on my last day, I’d want to take time to appreciate that.

L: I would spend the whole day with Sarah, most with my parents and brother, and then end it skydiving without an instructor person, or something death-defying. I'm going to go anyway, right?

(source)
6. What colour are your eyes? Do you like the colour?

S: Brown – kinda hazelnut brown and I can’t say I don’t like the colour as any other colour would be weird so I haven’t thought about changing it.

L: My eyes are, as I used to say around the time I changed the spelling of my name to Lara, puke-green. I have always loved being a green-eyed monster (as its more common to have blue/brown and I like being special!), but I used to hate that they weren't more committal in their green, and wore green coloured contacts that kind of made me look like a cat. However, I now like the colour of my eyes, and go for 'olive green' when describing them instead of 'puke'. I hope our kids have green eyes too! Just putting it out there.

7. Fish, beef, poultry, wild game, or tofu?

S: Poultry comes first on my choices – if you have read our WWLW on Nandos you’ll understand why. I love the versatility that chicken has and that it’s a safe bet – no blood or weird stuff!

Nandos in New Zealand!
L: My favourite meat is beef - I love red meat, much more than I probably should. But I definitely eat more chicken (see Sarah's answer - Nandos!) than any other meat. Accidentally being the opposite of the lesbian stereotype, we are pretty big meat eaters, and also we don't like cats. Please don't kick us out of the club!! ;)
Also, while we have you here, we are mentioned (and very flattered) on two friends' wonderful blogs!
Please visit Sarah & Lauren's blog, to read about our trip to Birmingham to Cadbury's World, and Wegan's blog to see Megan's 25th birthday in Windsor!! So go check us out, them out, and admire their gorgeous blogs!

We'll be writing about both of those events and more soon, so check back!!

As always, we are curious - what are your answers to any of the above??

Lots of love,
 Laura & Sarah xo

7 Question Thursday!! #2

It's time for another 7 Question Linkup with Gentri Lee!!
First, here's our funny photo:
Hey look, we're dressed up as Chinese princesses at Sydney's Chinese Garden of Friendship!
No joke, a lady asked us if we were dressing up as something to do with our heritage.

And now for the questions!!

1. What is your favorite day of the week and why?

S: Saturday, It never used to be until Laura and I came back from Oz. I suddenly, and still over a year later, wake up excited to spend 2 full days with Laura. Seriously I get kid at Christmas excited, which annoys Laura no end, but working, travelling and not having long evenings mean I LOVE the time with Lau and sleeping through most it seems a waste :) I also like the fact that if you do stuff on a Saturday you can still have a lazy day before going back to work.

L: My favourite day is also Saturday, but not exactly for the same reasons as Sarah. I love it because I can sleep in (as long as Sarah                                                      doesn't wake me up with her 'excitement' too early) and relax doing whatever I want all day without the stress of impending doom that is having work the next day.

2. If you decided to change your name, what would you change it to?

S: I always wanted a name I could shorten so friends could call me something different to Sarah. Originally I wanted it to be Rebecca - shortened to Becca or Becky. Nowadays though I like Sarah - it's uncomplicated and traditional -like me.

L: I always wanted a different name than my own - something more interesting! I even took the 'U' out of my name when I was in 8th grade to become 'Lara' (still pronounced the same as 'Laura' though!) in an attempt to seem more interesting - but that backfired because people didn't pronounce that correctly. My go-to makeup name was always Ruby Buckingham - it was the epitome of wealth and class and beauty and everything I wanted for myself - then I actually got to live her in a musical my choir did, where I was the Mayor's wife. I had a boa, and an awesome 20's dress, and it was lots of fun. But now, like Sarah, I'm alright with my name - I think my personality completely makes up for my regular, English-sounding name!

3. What is one product you use (it can be for anything) that you feel is a miracle worker?

S: It'll have to be Diet Coke. Seriously for a headache, for tiredness, for feeling worn out, over worked, stressed, hyper - ANYTHING - Diet Coke is my answer. If you are home or abroad and you get sick = DIET COKE, if you are out and about or sat at home and need to feel better = DIET COKE. In fact I can't think of anything a nce cold diet coke won't cure!

L: As you can tell by... pretty much every 'about us' post we write, we are obsessed with Diet Coke. I tried, tried, tried to think of a different product, but I just kept coming back to Diet Coke - for the reasons specified by Sarah. Sorry, I can't even pretend to be more creative than that.

4. High heels, flats, sneakers, or boots?

S: This is sooooo situation dependant for me - my go to is normally flats but dating someone taller than me means heels are a must if we are going out (it also saves stretching in photos), but I love boots for walking around or work. But if I had to go with just one it would be flats - they accommodate any situation and most importantly can deal with the work to 'after work' transition.

L: Flats all the way! Being 5'10'' means I've never really learned to walk in heels - I like being tall, but especially living in England, most women (and some men) are so much shorter than me and I'm paranoid about missing conversation. (How's the weather down there?!) So I rarely wear heels, because if I did, not only would I be over 6' tall, but I stumble around like I'm drunk and fall over everything - it's not a pretty sight. So instead, I have flats in lots of different colours!

5. You see your favorite celebrity (it can be any kid of celebrity- movie star, singer, writer, political leader, blogger) walking down the street, what do you do?

S: Working in central London this is something i've ad a chance to perfect (well kind of), in my opinion it's celebrity dependant - if they are A-list there's no way i'm going for the 'Hi'- thats a photo op, so I dive behind things and start snapping! That way you have proof! It's it's a lower league film star such as the guy who played Draco Malfoy - well he's not that famous so a photo op with him would be my request (if possible)- same goes with TV stars and footballers! Or in the case of Rhys Iffin (Notting Hill) i'll say hello as if I know him (to be fair I thought I did -oops). Celebrities just have that unfortunate thing of looking familiar. I even said hi to Prince William in a club because of that, being a nice guy he said hi back, but he had every right to be like - you don't know me!
Our most recent 'celebs' for the non-UK readers Neighbours, Home & Away and Emmerdale are soaps that  most Brits grow up watching! And if you haven't watched Notting Hill - you're missing out!

L: When I see a celebrity that I am genuinely a big fan of - I am not very 'cool' in these situations. Or, I may look cool on the outside, but on the inside I'm having a complete crazy excited meltdown because that person there is in the movies! Or music, etc. WHATDOISAYHOWDOILOOKISMYHAIROKAYDON'TSTARTCRYING,SERIOUSLYWHATDOISAY?? And I always go with 'You're so amazing' or something equally as awkward. Or, in the case of Jason Mraz when I was in high school, I sassed him. But that's another story for another post. As Sarah said, living in London has allowed me my fair share of celebrity spottings, but possibly my best one was in my hometown of Boise, Idaho.

Which brings me to what I do when I'm not a giant fan of someone:

Matt Damon was in Boise, premiering the Bourne Ultimatum (one of the producers I think was from there, so they did the premiere downtown) - I am not a giant fan of Matt, I mean I don't mind him, but I'm not into action movies or anything, so I didn't think too much of it. I was on my way to work, and saw a big crowd of people - I parked and went to see who was there, saw it was him, got a scrap of paper from someone else, and made my way to the front of the crowd (again, being quite tall, it was pretty easy) got him to sign it and got a few pics of him. Then I made my way to work - and I've still never seen the Bourne Ultimatum.

6. If you could pick one item to never have to pay for again, what would it be?

S: OMG my answer would have to be diet coke again - we spent 1/4 of ALL the money we earnt in Australia on Diet Coke and buying it when you out in he UK is over £1 each so not having to pay for it would save on approx £500 a year! That's almost a holiday!

L: Okay, if it WASN'T Diet Coke (which, who are we kidding, it would be) I would want to never have to pay for my haircuts/colours again. In London, its easily £120 for a half head of highlights and a cut. Because of the price, I don't keep up with it as much as I'd like to. I'd have awesome golden blonde locks if I could afford it!!

7. What was your favourite TV show or movie growing up?

S: Friends - and still to this day. Programmes come and go and I could reel of current favourites but growing up the go-to-show was always Friends. From memory it was one of the only shows that would come on and no-one would complain. My parents liked it, my sister liked it, my friends liked it and that meant I could always have it on. Watching episodes nowadays makes me remember Friday nights round a friends house waiting till 9pm to watch a new episode - I can't believe we have channels that meant you can watch it all day now. And every episode still makes me smile. Can you believe it started 18 years ago and finished recording 8 years ago - scary!

L: I don't remember having a TV show I watched while I grew up - I mean, when I was in high school, my favourite show was Project Runway - I actually had PR parties at my house every week! But my favourite movie my entire childhood was always Beauty & the Beast. I knew every word and song to that movie for ages!!!

Please answer any of the above questions, we love getting to know YOU better!!

Love always,
Laura & Sarah xo

7 Question Thursday!! Get To Know Us A Little Better! #1

We found the 7 Question Linkup on Gentri Lee's lovely blog - through Adventures in Mediocrity, another newly found blog we are loving, so we really took the long way around on this one!!

Anyway, so we are going to try to answer the questions every Thursday, for a bit of fun and so you can get to know us a little better. Okay? Okay!!

We have to put up a funny photo each week with it, so for your viewing pleasure:

How do we feel about each other right now? Haha!
7 Questions:

1. You are stuck somewhere you really don't want to be, do you- walk home, call a friend, or stick it out?
L: I would get the heck out of there!! I'm as lazy as they come, but I'd much rather walk home than stick it out, and no doubt Sarah would be with me so I wouldn't really call anyone else... no doubt, whether S was there or not I'd make up something bad happening - friend just got dumped and I have to console her, someone got tapped by a car and is in the hospital (I prefer 'tapped' to 'hit' because I feel less like I'm tempting fate!), locked out of the house and have to meet S with the keys... I'm a master at avoidance and getting out of things I don't want to do. If I know about it in advance, a lot of the time I just sulk, stamp my feet and get out of it before it happens - I must be a joy to live with!

S: Always, always, always get out of there - I have no doubt that I would rather walk out of a situation than stick it out and the only reason I would call a friend is to find the quickest way out :) Laura learned her Master avoidance technique from me, I have been known to 'disappear' from parties where I'm uncomfortable and setting an alarm that sounds like someone's calling is my best trick yet!

2. Do you like to PLAY sports?

L: Short answer is no. Long answer is.... still no. Growing up I swam, played soccer and softball - but I wasn't great, and I've never really enjoyed it. However, I quite like a bit of skiing/snowboarding in the winter, but only when we go home to Idaho, at Brundage Mountain!

Rebecca with her medal haul!
S: Not really - far too much effort for not much gain. I enjoy sports for fun and can play almost everything but I don't have the commitment to get back to 'play'-ing sport. My sporting moment of glory to this day- qualifying for an Olympic trial spot by winning 3 gold medals in a swim meet and on the podium receiving my 3rd medal saying I was quitting the sport- I was 13 and it felt so good, my coach and parents were devastated. Having spent 5 years swimming 6 days a week - 5am starts and 9pm finishes I look back and still think it was the best thing I could have done. (However watching my team mate Rebecca Cooke compete at the Olympic's was a proud moment).

3. Everyone has that one "different" song that they secretly love- what's yours?

L: Oh, I love SO many ridiculously embarrassing songs. My little brother and I used to blast the most ridiculous music we could find while driving around town - think 'I Touch Myself' while waiting in line at a Drive Thru, or the Mexican music station pumping out of Mum's old mini van (we are both white and pasty, it is still hilarious to think about, like 8 years later!) - my favourite ridiculous song for years has been 'Make It Rain' by Fat Joe Ft. Lil' Wayne. Because I'm hood. Seriously though, whatever happened to Fat Joe?

My fav person in this music video by far is the gangsta holding Fat Joe's umbrella. It's SO hard to look cool holding an umbrella!!

S: 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' from Mary Poppins - there are a couple of reasons 1) you can't fail to smile at this song (unless you dislike musicals, in which case boooo!) 2) after one verse you can suddenly spell the longest word EVER in song! Whenever I'm about to present in a meeting or when I used train a group I used to listen to the song on repeat until I felt less tense and used it as a way of 'limbering' up my voice, so yep that would be my song choice.
Bahaha

4. What is one thing you feel you are really good at?
L: I like to think I'm pretty good at correcting spelling and grammar. I know as you all are reading this, you are groaning, because everybody hates 'Grammar Nazis' - but come on, if it weren't for us, the written word would have depleted into 'text speak' by now. Nightmare! I'm also good at singing, remembering all the lyrics to songs, and I'm getting increasingly better at cooking/baking. I still fail at cleaning though. And apparently sticking to question restrictions on the number of things I can be good at.

S: As I'm writing this, I have changed my mind at least a dozen times- not because I have that many choices but because I judge things I'm really good at differently depending on the time of the day, my level of tiredness, what's gone on recently- but to answer the question, I'll go with 'quick-thinking / thinking on my feet'. I'm the go to girl if you need an excuse, an explanation, a different way of saying something etc, it comes in handy in more ways than I'll list here, but lets just say i'm rarely stuck for something to say!

5. A dog is running in your direction and barking loudly- what do you do?

L: It depends on the size of the dog. I love dogs so so so much, but a big dog running and barking, I'd be out of there!! And a smaller dog, I'd probably think how annoying small dogs are and keep walking.

S: I am sooooooo desperate for a dog so any chance to I get to play with one I take, I just hope the bark is a happy one and not an aggressive one!

Sarah and our friend Jess's baby, Zeke - he loooooves Sarah!!
6. Star gazing or cloud watching?
L: Star gazing fo' sho'!! It's so romantic! I love pretending I know different constellations - did you know that every set of stars makes something that looks like the Big Dipper?

S: I cloud watch A LOT more trying to work out where the sun is hiding- if I could out run/drive clouds I would! However star-gazing fascinates me - seeing Venus hanging out with the moon always impresses me and I like the fact that you can see the moon from wherever you are in the world!

7. What time of the day do you feel the most productive?
L: I know its writes off the next day, but I work at super human speed between 1 and 3 am!! I love staying up that late accomplishing things I didn't really need to do haha. During the work day, I'm most productive weirdly right after lunch. Until about 3:30, when I freak out at how slow the afternoon is going!

S: Any time I have just had a Diet Coke - my first is just after 11am - you'll get a good 2 hours of productivity until lunch distracts me. Technically it's easier to measure the other way - I am less productive between 9 - 10am (that's waking up time) and then 2 - 3 pm (thats when I would ideally have an afternoon nap)! Most days I'm get up and go though, and Laura thinks my need to be 'productive' is tiring :)
Hope you got to know us a little better!! :)

Lots of love,
Laura & Sarah xo
