It's All Queens Marrying Queens Over Here!!!

Today, the Her Majesty the Queen of England Elizabeth II signed into law that same-sex marriages are now legal in England and Wales. After the positive vote Monday, we were told it could possibly be signed in by the end of the week, but at 14:06 today - it was done.

If you follow us on, well, anything and everything, you'll know what an amazing month this has been. We've seen our best friends get married, my lady has entered another decade, DOMA and Prop 8 were repealed in the US, and now - we sit next to our colleagues here in London where we've made our home, or next to people on buses... and we are equal to all of them for the first time ever.

In honour of the decision, the NO H8 campaign put up OUR photo, to congratulate England and Wales - imagine our surprise when it came up on our feed!! Yay, now its not only above our bed, but all over the internet!

Check out our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts!
So cool!!

In other amazing awesome news, we were interviewed to tell our love story by Jason Dottley this last week - check out the full interview here:

And the lovely preview about our proposal here:

We were his first lesbian couple, and we are so happy to be a part of the project! Check out his other interviews here: www.jasonslovestoryproject.com

Speaking of proposal, our proposal video just hit 15,000 views!! Can hardly believe it!

This time next year we will be legally MARRIED for almost a month!!

Pretty much the best time to be engaged ever to the love of my life!!

  5. Hi girls do you think you could make a blog post going into detail about how you met/got together? Like who made the move and how you became official etc? If that's too much information I understand but I've always liked hearing those stories particularly from people who were before "straight" and just how you both felt after realising you liked another girl? Did you struggle with it personally? Did you try to fight it etc? I also know that before you dins consider yourselves gay but now you do, what changed? I'm currently in the same situation, I have a girlfriend of 2 years but have dates guys before, I really love her but struggle to fully label myself as gay (not because I don't accept that side of me cos I definitely do) but more so because I don't want to totally disregard my past relationships because although I now realise I want to be with women, I was not "pretending" to like men or using them as a cover up. Any advice/opinions/your stories would be great! Thanks

  6. Hi Anon, what a GREAT idea for a post! It'll take some real thought, so we'll do it over the weekend and put it up next week for you. It's been a really odd process for us, so it'll be good to get it all out in writing, and hopefully it'll strike a chord/help! Let us know what you think! xx

  7. I cannot tell you how happy I am for you two... I remember when I first read your blog and how touched I was with your open honesty... that has never changed, it is why I keep coming back. You two have come so far in just a short time... This is so exciting for you and many people who just want the right to love each other:)
